Mena and Missy

Mena Alexandra (born on 13 February 1979) is a model and actress from the US. Her career in modeling began in 1990. Soon after, she moved to acting following guest appearances on television series such as Boy Meets World or High Incident. Her film debut came in the dramatic film Nowhere. Her performance in American Beauty, for which she earned a BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader attention. She appeared in 2000 in American Pie alongside American Pie co star Jason Biggs. In 2002, she took on the main role as the lead character in Sugar & Spice (2002). She had appearances in the 2002 independent drama Spun and in the 2004 thriller feature Trauma. She also appeared in the HBO's drama Six Feet Under in 2004 she was recognized as a member of the Best Cast of the 2005 Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, she was cast in a string of films such as Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and the movie adaptation to The Garden of Eden. Suvari is featured in a variety of magazine and blog posts and blogs, such as Vogue. She's also a Lancome model and appears on print advertisements for Lancome Paris Adaptive. Suvari is a long-time patron and activist for the esteemed African relief organization, the African Medical and Research Foundation. She is also involved with the issue of women's empowerment and is associated with groups that are supportive of breast cancer awareness as well as The End Violence Against Women Campaign.
