LeBron Raymone James Sr. - born 30 December 1984 is a professional American basketball star. King James has been widely recognized as being among the most notable players in basketball. Michael Jordan is usually considered when discussing who's the greatest player. James has been awarded four NBA championships and four NBA MVP Awards, four NBA Finals MVP awards three All-Star MVP awards and two Olympic gold medals. James is the NBA All-Star who has the highest number of playoff points. He also has with the second most points in his career total, and the seventh highest assists total in his career. James is a member of 18 NBA All-Stars and 18 All-NBA Teams, and five NBA All-Defensive First Team selections. He has been a part of 10 NBA Finals, the third-most of all time. This includes eight straight between 2011-2018. James joined the NBA 75th Anniversary Team in 2021. In 2022, he became the first NBA player to reach 10,000 points in his career. James was a basketball player in St. Vincent St. Mary High School in Akron in Ohio. The school was recognized by national media as the future NBA superstar. The Cleveland Cavaliers selected him with the first pick of the NBA draft in 2003. He was voted as the NBA rookie of the year in 2004. Then he was one of the best players in the NBA as he won an NBA MVP Award in the years 2009 and 2010. James, who failed to take home the title in Cleveland, in the year 2010, left as a free agent and joined his team the Miami Heat. This was made clear as part of The Decision. It is one of the most controversial decisions taken by a free agent in sports history.
